This July, the original Sentinel of Liberty springs back into action for a high octane adventure that no Captain America fan can miss. When a mysterious figure from Steve Rogers’ past returns, deadly secrets surface that put Captain America back in-between crosshairs. The next big chapter in the life of Steve Rogers begins this summer in an action packed adventure throughout the Marvel Universe, only in Captain America #1!

Okay, so we're getting a new Captain America series - with Commander Steve Rogers taking the mantle of the Star Spangled Avenger once more. I wasn't really surprised about this because if you have been reading Fear Itself ( and particularly read issue #3), we may have a clue as to why Steve is back:

This excruciating sight of Bucky Barnes (the current Captain America) seemingly dying after the getting his ass handed over to him by the supervillain Sin, is probably the biggest reason why Rogers is gonna come back with the suit and the shield. Come on, don't you see the "revenge" angle here?

Steve will learn about what happened to his best friend, and that will be more than enough for him to take his butt out of the S.H.I.E.L.D helicarrier (and as far as I'm concerned, he already jumped out of it last issue) and get back to where the action is.

Steve Rogers is a war machine. Probably the best out there. War is in his veins. It runs though his blood like its water and breathes it like air. He cannot sit down giving out orders while watching his comrades die without him doing anything to prevent it. He always has the need for battle, kick somebody's ass and be an inspiration to everybody. And that is enough reason for me to think that he will carry that shield... and win it for his team.  And I'm really excited about it.

But what about Bucky? Will he survive after the latest all-out attack by Sin and the Serpent's minions?

Honestly, I don't want Bucky to die. Even though I didn't like the idea of him being Captain America, Bucky deserves more than just dying at the hands of an Asgardian-roided foe. Marvel can put him back as the Winter Soldier again - which is the best and most badass role he has ever taken in my opinion - fighting along side the heroes, or he may become a villain once more, joining The Serpent's ranks.... I don't know, there are so many possibilities, but here's what I want to happen: BUCKY SHOULD LIVE.

I'll be damned if Marvel does kill him off.

What are your thoughts about this? Should Bucky live or die?
